Washington is a low Se state, the whole state would be. Yes there is a general Se map on our website under resources tab. Our product covers the three limiting amino acids lysine methionine and threonine. Hope this helps.
thank you
Hi Margie, any of the original versions will do but bare in mind not to use any other products that contain selenium unless horses are in heavy work.
Send me your number on email and I will call you about this. thornebottom@hardynet.com
Hi Allyson, Some horses have been known to eat the pellet version by itself but that is the exception not the rule. Mixing either version with hay pellets or alfalfa pellets is a good idea.
I have been feeding KISTrace pellets for 4 or 5 years now. My OTTB endurance horses are on a high-quality hay-only diet; no grain (not even beet pulp)! Their body scores are 5-5.5, and they look fabulous. KISTrace GI version provides them with the minerals they need, and O&A hay provides them with digestive health. I highly recommend getting your horses off grain and moving to a forage-only diet supplemented by KISTrace!
I have been using KISTrace for 4.5 years now. I recommend it to all my hoof care clients.
It makes such a difference in hoof quality and health!
I have seen a huge improvement in my mare since I have been feeding KIS trace minerals she seems more calm an satisfied
This is the only palatable vitamin/mineral pellet with low/no selenium that I can find. My picky mare loves the taste (she will eat it dry from my hand), and the nice folks at Thorne Bottom Farm were kind enough to send me a free sample first to ensure she would eat it. Shipping is also free and fast, so it’s easy to restock. I am very happy with this vitamin/mineral pellet, and my mare is looking great on it, even in winter!
I really like your product. My rescue mare who came to me with Pneumonia, horrible feet, and underweight is now fat, happy, healthy, and her feet are fabulous! Thanks!
